  • Company number: NI732020
  • Registered in: Northern Ireland
  • Registered office: 196 Upper Lisburn Road, Finaghy, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT10 0LA

Throughout these Terms, “Belfast Beard Company”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to THEBELFASTBEARDCOMPANY LTD.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms govern your use of our website and any orders placed through it.

By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our:

  • Shipping Policy
  • Returns and Refunds Policy
  • Privacy Policy
  • Cookie Policy

Please read these documents before placing an order. If you do not accept these Terms, you should not use the website or purchase from us.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

3. Eligibility to Order

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is complete, accurate and current and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Products must not be purchased for unlawful use or unauthorised resale.

4. Products and Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, ingredients, images, prices and other information are accurate.

Product images are provided for illustration. Colours and packaging may appear slightly different because of screen settings or reasonable packaging updates. Any variation will not materially change the product ordered.

Product availability may change without notice. We may withdraw or replace products, but this will not affect an order we have already accepted unless we contact you and agree otherwise.

5. Cosmetic and Grooming Products

Our beard oils, balms and other grooming products are cosmetic and personal-care products intended to be used according to their labels and instructions.

Before purchasing or using a product, you should:

  • Read its description, ingredients and instructions
  • Check for ingredients to which you may be allergic or sensitive
  • Use the product only for its stated purpose
  • Stop using it if irritation or an unexpected reaction occurs

Product information on our website is not medical advice, and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

Individual results, scent preferences and sensitivities vary. We do not guarantee that every product will be suitable for every individual. This does not limit your rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or not of satisfactory quality.

6. Prices and VAT

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT.

Standard UK shipping is free. Any other charges that may apply will be clearly displayed before you submit your order.

We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders already accepted.

If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting an order, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to purchase at the correct price or cancel the order. If we cancel after payment has been taken, we will issue a full refund.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

By providing payment information, you confirm that:

  • The information is accurate
  • You are authorised to use the payment method
  • Sufficient funds or credit are available

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply.

We are not responsible for delays caused by a bank or payment provider, but this does not affect our responsibility to process any refund owed to you.

8. Orders and Contract Formation

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase from us.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been dispatched, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier.

Before accepting an order, we may decline or cancel it where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • Payment cannot be authorised
  • Delivery information is incomplete or invalid
  • There is an obvious pricing or product-description error
  • We cannot deliver to the supplied address
  • We reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised resale or unlawful activity

If payment has already been taken for an order we do not accept, we will issue a full refund.

9. Order Changes and Cancellations

If you wish to amend or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible using our Contact Us form.

We will try to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made once processing has begun or the order has been dispatched.

Your statutory cancellation rights after delivery are explained in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

10. Shipping and Delivery

We currently deliver to UK addresses only.

Orders are normally dispatched on the next working day, with standard delivery estimated at 2–5 working days after dispatch. Standard UK shipping is free.

Full delivery terms, including delays, incorrect addresses and missing or damaged orders, are set out in our Shipping Policy.

Risk of loss or damage remains with us until the goods are delivered into your physical possession or that of a person you have nominated to receive them.

11. Returns and Refunds

Returns, cancellations and refunds are governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy and applicable UK consumer law.

Cosmetic products that have been opened, dispensed, sampled or used may have no resale value for health and hygiene reasons. Where handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect a product, we may make a lawful deduction from the refund to reflect its actual loss in value, potentially up to the full product price.

This does not limit your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect or not as described.

12. Acceptable Website Use

You must not:

  • Use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or another user’s information
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful technology
  • Scrape, copy or extract website content using automated means without permission
  • Interfere with the website’s operation or security
  • Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
  • Infringe our rights or the rights of another person

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

13. Intellectual Property and Trade Marks

The website and its content—including our branding, product names, photographs, designs, graphics, written material and software—are owned by or licensed to Belfast Beard Company and are protected by intellectual-property law.

BELFAST BEARD COMPANY® is a registered UK trade mark owned by THEBELFASTBEARDCOMPANY LTD, UK trade mark number UK00003090305, in respect of the goods covered by that registration.

You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell or commercially exploit its content without our prior written permission.

You must not use the BELFAST BEARD COMPANY name, trade mark, branding or any confusingly similar sign without our prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants any licence or right to use our intellectual property.

14. Third-Party Services and Links

The website may use or link to third-party services, including hosting, payment, analytics and social-media providers.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or availability where these matters are outside our reasonable control.

A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse the third party.

15. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, updates or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

You are responsible for using suitable security software and protecting your devices and account credentials.

16. Our Liability

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses suffered by a customer purchasing wholly or mainly for personal use.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded
  • Breach of your statutory consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any remedy available to you under applicable consumer law.

17. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control.

If such an event materially affects an accepted order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay. Your statutory rights, including any applicable right to cancel, remain unaffected.

18. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

By using the website, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled in accordance with that policy and applicable data-protection law.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.

The Terms applying to an order will normally be those in force when the order was placed. Changes will not be applied retrospectively to an existing order unless required by law or agreed with you.

The latest version will be published on our website with its revision date.

20. Severability and Waiver

If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

If we do not immediately enforce a provision, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

21. Governing Law and Courts

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.

The courts of Northern Ireland will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.

Nothing in this section removes any mandatory legal protections available to you as a consumer.

22. Contacting Us

Questions, complaints and other requests should be submitted through the Contact Us form at belfastbeardcompany.com.
